Overview of the Reception TV Setup
Your Reception or welcome TVs are typically connected to the DSP PRO player (Digital Signage PRO) supplied by WEDOOH and can be setup in either 2 scenarios.
- Scenario 1. The DSP PRO player is directly attached behind the TV using a single HDMI cable into the HDMI 1 input port, and power and network cable (Ethernet) for internet connectivity.
- Scenario 2. The DSP PRO player may be centralised with other AV (Audio Visual) components in an AV rack or cupboard/credenza. In this setup, the video signal is transmitted to the TV directly via an HDMI / VGA cable or using HDMI extenders over the network cable.
Potential troubleshooting solutions for Reception TV issues
Here are some troubleshooting solutions for common reception TV problems:
Note that your reception TV is completely independant from your workout TVs, as the source for your reception TV(s) is just the DSP PRO player. Locate this and make sure it's turned on and connected properly to network via a ethernet cable. None of our players connect via WIFI (wireless), the network cable must be connected directly to the modem or network switch to get online. If the reception TV is blank this maybe because there is not internet connection or the device itself is off or not starting up. In the case the device is off, turn it on. If it's already on and not displaying email us at support@wedooh.com.au
- No signal or blank screen: Ensure the HDMI cable is securely connected to the DSP PRO player and the reception TV at both ends. Check that the HDMI input on the TV is set to the correct source (HDMI 1 or PC input). Restart the DSP PRO player and the TV to refresh the connection.
-check your hdmi transmitter and reciever are showing a power light in
- Poor picture quality: Adjust the display settings on the reception TV to optimise the picture quality. Check for any loose or damaged HDMI cables and replace them if necessary. If using HDMI extenders over Ethernet, make sure the network cable is attached correctly to the HDMI reciever and transmitter. Ensure the power light indicator showing on the HDMI extenders are on. If not, it would be simply the power pack has blown out and you may need a replacement power pack.
- Network connectivity problems: Troubleshoot the network connection by checking the internet connection is working at site. Restart the modem/router and the player to establish a fresh connection. Also, check if there is a network switch; if so, this may need to be turned off/on to reset your network connections.Email us support@wedooh.com.au to check if we can see the device online, and force the update if it's not updating.
Additionally, if you happen to notice a blank screen on the reception TV after hours, rest assured that this is not a malfunction. The reception TV is simply programmed not to display any content during those hours, hence the blank screen.
These troubleshooting solutions can help resolve common reception TV problems and restore optimal functionality.
